Since 2010 John has taken out the Irwin Barker Canadian Homegrown Championship as well as gaining himself a best newcomer nomination.

In 2017 a video of John being heckled by Dennis Rodman appeared online, and after being picked up by College Humour was seen by 90,000 people in the first week alone!

At the Perth Fringe World Festival John was nominated for Martin Sims Award for Best Comedy Show and was a favourite on the Melbourne International Comedy Gala in 2019. This saw John’s show “Float Like a Butterfly John Hastings Like A Bee” add extra dates in a sellout 300 seat theatre at the Melbourne Town Hall as well as gaining him a sellout run at London’s prestigious Soho Theatre.

AMERICAS GOT TALENT

In 2020 John made his comedy debut on Americas Got Talent 

Due to the current pandemic he walked out to an empty theatre and an audience consisting of the three Judges 
 (Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel & Sofia Vergara) and the cast + crew of AGT.



He received a STANDING OVATION from all three judges and the crew.. and his clips went viral over night, racking up millions of views across various social media platforms.
